이 연구는 청소년의 부모-자녀 의사소통이 사이버 불링에 미치는 영향과 자기 통제력의 매개효과를 실증적으로 검증하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울과 인천, 경기지역에 거주하는 중학교 2, 3학년과 고등학교 1, 2학년 235명의 자료를 수집하고, SPSS 26.0 프로그램과 Hayes(2012)의 Process Macro를 사용하여 자료를 분석했다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모-자녀 의사소통 중 개방형 의사소통을 많이 할수록 사이버 불링 가해 행동을 적게 했고, 문제형 의사소통을 많이 사용할수록 사이버 불링 가해 행동을 더 많이 했다. 둘째, 자기 통제력은 부모-자녀 개방형 의사소통과 사이버 불링 가해 행동의 관계를 완전 매개하였고, 문제형 의사소통과 사이버 불링 가해 행동의 관계를 부분 매개했다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 이 연구는 청소년의 사이버 불링 예방 및 방지를 위해 부모와 청소년 자녀 간 원활한 의사소통을 증진하고 청소년의 자기 통제력 수준을 높일 수 있는 예방교육과 프로그램 개발 마련에 대해 제안함으로 사이버 불링 예방을 위한 기초자료를 제공한 것으로 사료한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to empirically test the effects of the parent-child communication of adolescents on cyberbullying and the mediating effect of self-control. For this purpose, the study collected data from 235 middle and high school students in eighth to eleventh grade from Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi provinces and analyzed the data with the SPSS 26.0 program and the Process Macro of Hayes (2012). The findings are as follows: first, the more open the parent-child communication was, the less cyberbullying perpetration, and th more problematic the parent-child commuication was, the more cyberbullying perpetration, and the more problematic the parent-child communication was, the more cyberbullying perpetration secondly, self-control fully mediated the relations between open parent-child communication and cyberbullying perpetration and had partially mediated relations between problematic parent-child communication and cyberbulling perpetrations. Based on these findings, the study raised a need to promote smooth communication between parents and their adolescent children and prepare preventive education and programs to help adolescents enhance their self-control level in order to prevent cyberbullying.
