Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Orff-based music activity on stable attachment, positive emotion, and relationship formation in infants with unstable attachment. The participants included 17 infants aged from 5 to 6 attending at an infant institution in B city, and the experimental group performed a total of 10 sessions of the Orff-based music activity, twice a week, 30 minutes for each session, and the control group participated in free-choice activities provided by the institution. IPPA-R and K-BASC-2 were employed to measure pre and post score differences, and video recording data were used for the observation of attachment response behavior. The results indicated that the Orff-based music activity helps infants with unstable attachment form a stable attachment. Attachment requires research on long-term effects by continuously conducting music activity programs because they develop continuously in the process of growth.
