연구 목적: 본 연구는 졸업학년 간호대학생의 핵심간호술 평가경험을 이해하고 실습교육 및 핵심간호술 평가를 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구 방법: 연구대상자는 핵심간호술 평가를 경험한 J시 1개 간호학과 4학년 10명이었다. 연구 내용: 대상자들은 핵심간호술 평가로 인한 불안과 그에 따르는 증상을 경험하였으며, 각자 나름대로의 불안 대처방법을 사용하고 있었다. 또한 평가자에게 영향을 받았는데, 평가자의 안색, 분위기, 말투, 사소한 몸짓에 따라 불안이 감소되기도 하고 증가되기도 하였다. 대상자들은 핵심간호술 평가를 통해 술기가 체화되고 숙달되면서 자신감이 생겼고, 임상상황에 대한 비판적 사고능력이 증가하였다. 결론 및 제언: 향후 핵심간호술 평가 전에 불안감소를 위한 중재를 적용하여 학생들의 효율적 학습을 촉진하는 전략이 필요하다. 학생들의 수행평가시 평가자의 부정적 영향을 최소화하기 위한 표준화된 평가자 교육 매뉴얼을 개발하여 적용할 필요가 있다고 생각된다.
Abstract
This study aimed to understand the experience of performance examination of core nursing skills among senior nursing students and provide essential data for practical education and core nursing skills evaluation. Ten students who passed the performance examination for core nursing skills in one nursing department from J city attended. The students experienced anxiety and symptoms related to pressure, especially before the performance examination, and they handled their stress with their methods. Assessors influenced the students by decreasing or increasing their anxiety through their complexion, mood, manner of speech, and trivial gestures. After passing the performance examination, the students embodied core nursing skills and were skillful at core nursing skills. Also, their critical thinking about clinical situations was increased. The students need an anxiety reduction strategy before the performance examination for core nursing skills. There is a need to develop and apply a standardized manual for assessors to minimize negative impact.
