Abstract
Redi's experiment that clarified the impossibility of spontaneous generation triggered many experiment about spontaneous generation and improvement of many experiment skill. Among the experiments of clarifying the impossibility of spontaneous generation Pasteur's swan neck flask experiment was crucial evidence to subdue the spontaneous generation. Pasteur made debate with Pouchet, the ardent supporter of spontaneous generation and Pasteur had won in the debate with his crucial experiment result. With this evidence Pasteur had won the money which would be given to the winner of the debate from the Academie des sciences in Paris . But modern historians has published many papers that Pasteur had a fortune to make his experiment result and the social and political support of 19th century France made him to win at the debate. When the scientific controversy is taught to students these kinds of social and political influences should be explained.
