수술실 간호사의 언어폭력 경험 및 성희롱 피해와 자아존중감에 관한 연구

수술실 간호사의 언어폭력 경험, 성희롱 피해와 자아존중감과의 상관관계를 파악하고 범죄예방적인 차원에서 피해를 방지하기 위하여 S시 및 K시에 위치한 400병상 이상의 종합병원 수술실 간호사 277명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 통해 자료를 수집한 결과, 대상자의 대부분인 93.9%가 1년 이내에서 언어폭력을 경험한 것으로 나타났으며 의사에 의한 언어폭력이 67.7%, 그리고 간호사에 의한 언어폭력이 32.3%로 각각 조사되었다. 1년 이내에서 성희롱 경험이 있는 대상자는 71.1%이었으며, 의사에 의한 성희롱 경험이 96.4% 그리고 간호사에 의한 성희롱 경험이 3.6%이었다. 대상자의 의사 및 간호사에 의한 언어폭력은 성희롱과 정적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 확인되었고(p < .01), 자아존중감에서는 의사및 간호사에 의한 언어폭력, 성희롱과는 부적인 상관관계를 보였다(p < .01). 본 연구결과를 표준화하기 위해서는 다양한 병원 환경에서 근무하는 수술실 간호사를 대상으로 반복적인 연구가 필요하다. 또한, 수술실 간호사의 언어폭력 및 성희롱 경험 유무를 지속적으로 파악하고 제한적인 수술실 환경에 맞추어 이를 예방할 수 있는 중재 프로그램 개발에 대한 후속 연구를 제언한다.
Abstract
This study was to identify the relation among the verbal abuse experience, sexual harassment damages and self-esteem of operating room nurses and to prevent damage from the crime preventive dimension. The subjects of the research composed of operating room nurses working at general hospitals. Data obtained from 277 nurses in operating room from April 11 to 25, 2015. The research showed that 93.9% of subjects had experienced verbal abuse within a year. Also, the data indicated that 71.1% of subjects had experienced sexual harassment damages within a year. The results confirmed a positive correlation between verbal abuse of subjects from doctors or nurses and sexual harassment (p < .01), and also showed a negative correlation between selfesteem and verbal abuse/sexual harassment from doctors or nurses (p < .01). Therefore, the development and application of an intervention program suitable for the restrictive environment of the operating room is needed to continuously check for and prevent the existence of verbal abuse and sexual harassment.
