트랜지션(Transition)을 활용한 모션그래픽 제작연구

Abstract

Today, mankind use moving images for effective communication. Moving images have strength that it can implicatively deliver information which is hardly delivered by a text. This communication form which has that strength has been developed into Motion Graphics in fields of visual communication and it is used as a powerful means for communication today. Motion Graphics is comprised in boundary of moving images because it is expressed as visual media like film and video as cinema and TV do. But Motion Graphics is a branch of expression style rather than branch of independent genre. Therefore it can easily integrate and merge with other visual media and genre. It is being rapidly extended and applied to TV, commercial, web, interactive graphic user interface and game. There is many diversity of opinions about definition and boundary of Motion Graphics but we should try to focus on the fact that Motion Graphics is being continuously extended and integrated with expression style of other form of the arts such as fine arts, photography, illustration, cinema and animation rather than try to define it. Artistic style is truly powerful and infinite if element of basic shape like line and figure and typography are merged and expressed together with different kind of art form therefore we should try to experiment and study to find that value. The purpose of this study is to experiment artistic style in Motion Graphic and verify possibility for practical use through the case of Motion Graphics that adopt transition effects as artistic style by closely looking the thinking and making process that motion designer try to reach to creative inspiration.
