Abstract

The role of Sound and the Visual-auditory Association in Visual Media Lee, Sang Yoon Full-time Lecturer / Division of Digital Contents, Dongseo University In digital contents, it is very important that each medium form has to be integrated media and it is necessity to analyze for new method. The visual-auditory association is not the addition of the visual space and the sound space but the common space of them with new research for the new visual-auditory space. If the visual can give us something new meaning, the sound can put sensibility and the feeling of movement into the meaning. The expansion of sound brings visual into the expansion of spirit. Especially, music has kind of independent character comparing with the other sound and sometimes music can be exceptional element for visual media. Also music induces emotional things which can specify time and place of the stream of visual. The both of the spaces in screen and outside screen are rather the unification of them with the concept of expansion or reduction and are defined as the space of a creative sense than be separated.
