다문화청소년 비행 및 범죄와 범죄친구와의 관계: 잠재성장모형을 중심으로

이 연구는 다문화청소년의 비행 및 범죄의 원인 규명에서 비행친구선행론과 비행선행론 중 어느 이론이 우세한지를 평가하는데 그 주된 목적이 있다. 이와 관련하여 이 연구는 한국청소년정책연구원의 다문화청소년패널조사 4차년도부터 6차년도까지의 자료를 잠재성장모형을 활용하여 분석하였다. 선행연구 검토 결과 다문화청소년이 비행 및 범죄를 저지르는 수많은 원인 중 가장 영향력이 있는 독립변인은 친구와의 차별적 접촉이었으며, 이 연구에서 친구와의 차별적 접촉을 독립변인으로 설정한 잠재성장모형은 다문화청소년 비행 및 범죄를 통계적으로 잘 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 비행 및 범죄를 독립변인으로 설정한 모형에서도 비행 및 범죄를 많이 저지르는 다문화청소년은 학년이 높아짐에 따라 그와 유사한 성향을 지닌 청소년과 잦은 만남을 통해 범죄친구의 수가 증가하는 것으로 드러났다. 결론적으로 이 연구에서 다문화청소년의 비행 및 범죄의 원인과 관련하여 비행친구선행론과 비행선행론이 모두 지지받는 것으로 확인됐다. 이전까지 청소년비행의 원인을 밝힌 수많은 선행연구에서 비행친구가 우선인지 아니면 비행이 우선인지를 밝힌 연구 결과물은 흔치 않으며, 그중 다문화청소년을 대상으로 이 두 가지 원인의 인과관계를 밝힌 연구는 전무하다. 따라서 이 연구는 일반청소년이 아닌 다문화청소년의 비행친구선행론과 비행선행론을 밝힌 연구라는 점에서 학술적 의미를 지닌다.
Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate which theories, among the causes of multicultural juvenile crimes, prevail among the theories of criminal friend and crime advancement. For analysis, this study used data from the 4th to 6th years of multicultural youth panel data collected by the Korea Youth Policy Institute. The latent growth model was used as a research analysis technique. The latent growth model in which the different association contact variable with peers identified as the independent variable among the many causes of juvenile delinquency as an independent variable statistically well explains the juvenile delinquency and crime of multicultural adolescents. Also, Even in the model in which delinquency and crime were set as independent variables, the number of criminal peers increased through frequent different associations with adolescents with similar tendencies as grades increased for multicultural youth who commit a lot of delinquency and crime. Therefore, in this study, it was found that both the theory of preceding delinquent peers and the theory of preceding delinquency were supported. This study can be considered to have academic significance in that it is a study that clarifies the theory of delinquent peer precedence and delinquency precedence of multicultural youth, not ordinary youth.
