Abstract
In this study, the effects that appear on the scalp and hair when 0.3 mA to 1.2 mA microcurrent stimulation with a frequency of 5 to 25 Hz and composite light using light emitting diodes (LED) and near-infrared rays that emit wavelengths of 460 to 630 ± 5 nm are examined. It was conducted to investigate. A total of 90 test subjects participated and were assigned to an LED stimulation group (LED group), a microcurrent stimulation group (Micro Current, MC group), and a group receiving both LED stimulation and microcurrent stimulation (LED+MC group). Each group was asked to wear the scalp care device on their scalp for 20 minutes a day for 4 weeks, and then the changes in various indicators were observed. After 4 weeks, scalp elasticity, scalp moisture level, hair gloss, hair tensile strength, hair thickness, number of hair fallouts and microcirculation in the microcurrent stimulation group (Micro Current, MC group) and the group receiving both LED stimulation and microcurrent stimulation (LED+MC) showed improvement. It is believed that microcurrent stimulation is more effective in improving scalp and hair by improving microblood flow than LED single stimulation.
