Abstract
Purpose: This study analyzes the structural characteristics and key concepts of educational discourse in the digital transformation era and offers a philosophical interpretation of how education is conceptualized. Drawing on Tim Ingold’s concept of correspondences, the study seeks to reconsider learning as a responsive and relational experience, rather than a process of control and optimization. Method: A total of 889 digital education-related articles from the Korea Citation Index (KCI) were analyzed using text mining. Keyword frequency, centrality network analysis (degree, closeness, betweenness), and ego network analysis by period were conducted and interpreted through a philosophical lens. Results: The contemporary educational discourse is predominantly shaped by keywords such as “digital literacy”, “efficiency”, “AI-based feedback”, “self-directed learning” and “platform” reflecting a trend toward viewing education as a system that prioritizes technical efficiency, individual autonomy, and predictive control. In contrast, keywords like as “care”, “interaction”, “relationality” and “learning” appeared in peripheral positions, indicating the marginalization of sensory and ethical dimensions of education. Notably, the emergence of the keyword “posthuman” in more recent publications suggests a growing ontological awareness of the entanglement between humans, technologies, and nonhuman environments. Conclusion: This study critiques the dominance of control-oriented discourse and, through correspondences, advocates for restoring responsiveness, care, and relationality in education. It proposes reimagining learning as a flow shaped through human-technology entanglements, offering a basis for reconnecting philosophy with practice.
