Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate a structural relationship among the related variables of adolescent's delinquent behavior. 518 high school students residing in Daegu City and Kyungpook province completed questionnaires assessing family cohesion and adaptability, social problem solving ability, and delinquent behavior. The sample variance-covariance matrix was analysed using AMOS17.0, and a maximum likelihood minimization function. Goodness of fit was evaluated using the SRMR, RMSEA and its 90% confidence interval, CFI, and TLI. The results were as follows: First, the family cohesion, adaptability, and adolescent's social problem solving ability had a significant direct effect on adolescent's delinquency. Second, family adaptability enjoyed a significant direct effect on the adolescent's social problem solving ability. Finally, the substantial indirect effect of family adaptability on adolescent's delinquency was mediated by interpersonal problem solving ability.
