초록
In cases of bilateral vocal fold paralysis with acute airway obstruction, an emergency tracheostomy is essential to secure the airway. However, even after tracheostomy, anatomical variations may result in complications such as mucosal injury at the trachea, bleeding, pain, tube obstruction, or tube dislodgement due to improper tube fitting. This case report presents a patient who experienced persistent complications following tracheostomy, which were not resolved by conservative management or revision surgery. The issue was ultimately resolved through the application of suture arytenoid lateralization. This case highlights a potential surgical option for managing tracheostomy-related complications in patients with bilateral vocal fold paralysis.
