슈타이너의 인식론과 발도르프학교의 감성교육

오늘날 이성 이외의 타자로 존재해온 감성에 주목하고 감성의 교육적 가치를 재조명하려는 노력이 한창이다. 감성을 발달시킨다는 것은 오늘날 넘쳐나는 매체의 자극적인 것에 노출되어 감각적이 된다는 것은 분명 아닐 것이다. 발도르프 유치원이나 발도르프학교에서는 TV와 컴퓨터 등을 의도적으로 없애고 가급적 가정에서도 접하지 않게 할 것을 권한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 발도르프교육은 감성과 창의성 교육에 효과적이며, 의지와 감정, 그리고 사고의 통합적 발달을 추구하는 전인교육을 한다고 평가된다. 따라서 본고는 교육은 인간에 대한 바른 인식에서 출발하고, 인간에 대한 바른 인식이란 인간을 통합적으로 이해하는 것이라고 보는 발도르프학교의 감성교육에 대해 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 발도르프학교에서 감성발달을 중시하고 그것이 궁극적으로 전인적 발달에 이르게 하는 것을 이해하기 위해서는 슈타이너의 인간관과 인간의 인식에 있어서 감성(의지와 감정)과 이성(사고)이 서로 어떻게 관련되는지를 이해하는 인식론의 특징을 살펴보아야 할 것이다. 마지막으로 슈타이너의 인간관과 인식론적 관점이 실제 발도로프학교 교육으로 어떻게 구현되는지 살펴볼 것이다.
Abstract
Recently, there are accelerating efforts to notice the emotion which has existed as others of the reason and to shed light on its the educational values. However, developing the emotion shall not simply mean becoming sensible by abundant stimulative media. On the contrary Waldorf kindergarten and school intensionally remove TV and computer at their school and recommend that students dose not exposed to them even at home. Nevertheless it is evaluated that Waldorf education is effective for the emotion and creativity education. It also performs whole education chasing organic development between thinking and feeling including development of willing. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to explore Waldorf education of the emotion(feeling and willing), which start from correct recognition to a human being. Waldorf education says that the question of education can only be answered on the basis of a true knowledge of a human being in body, soul, and spirit. We will explore the perspective of a human being and point of epistemology of R. Steiner to understand Waldorf education. Lastly, we will look into how to embody the shape of his idea of whole human being and epistemology to actual Waldorf education.
