이 논문의 목적은 한국교육철학학회 창립 60주년을 맞이하여 그동안의 국내 교육철학의 연구 동향을 살펴보고 그 성과와 과제를 제시하는 데 있다. 이러한 목적을 위해 국내 교육철학의 동향을 제시한 주요 선행연구를 리뷰하고, 분석 기준을 제시한 다음, 그 기준에 따라 지난 60년간 교육철학의 연구 동향을 본 학회학술지인 『교육철학연구』를 중심으로 4가지 측면, 즉 교육철학의 학문적 배경 및 관심사 측면, 핵심 주제어 측면, 교육사상가 측면, 인용지수 측면에서 살펴보았다. 국내 교육철학 연구는 여러 교육사상가를 다양한 관점에서 연구하였을 뿐만 아니라 우리나라의 주요 교육정책이나 교육 현장의 이슈가 있을 때마다 나름대로 그 문제에 응답해 왔다. 그러나 국내 교육철학 연구는 이론적으로 정교하게 가다듬거나 재해석하여 이론화하는 작업이 요청되며, 교육 실천의 문제에도 적극적으로 관심을 가지고 기여할 필요가 있다. 나아가 국내 교육철학 연구는 서구의 교육사상이나 이론을 이해하고 수용하는 수준을 넘어 우리의 교육철학을 외국에 확산시켜야 하는 과제를 안고 있다.
Abstract
This paper analyzes research trends in educational philosophy in Korea on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Korean Philosophy of Education Association, and presents related achievements and challenges. To this end, this paper reviews major previous studies that presented trends in Korean educational philosophy, presents the criteria for analysis, and examines the research trends in Korean educational philosophy over the past 60 years. It focuses on four aspects: the academic background and interests of educational philosophy, major research contents, key words, educational thinkers, and the citation index. Korean educational philosophy research has not only studied educational thinkers from various perspectives; but has also responded to major educational policies and issues in the field of education in Korea in its own way. However, Korean educational philosophy research needs to elaborate or reinterpret theories; and contribute more actively to issues of educational practice. In addition, domestic philosophy of education research should go beyond just understanding and accepting Western educational ideas and discourses, and focus on spreading Korean philosophy of education to foreign countries.
