이 연구는 ‘독서인’ 정체성을 가진 10대가 어떤 방식으로 그 정체성을 구성 및 수행하는지 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 10대 독서인들의 사례와 목소리에서 청소년 독서교육의 방향성에 대해 안내받을 수 있다고 전제했기 때문이다. 연구 목적 달성을 위해 연구자들은 스스로를 독서인이라고 자부하는 고등학생들과 집단 면담을 수행하였다. FGI를 통한 생애경험 수집 방식을 연구 방법으로 선택하고, 독서를 하게 된 동인과 요인(과거), 현재 독서에 대한 자신의 느낌과 행동(현재), 앞으로의 삶과 독서가 맺을 관계(미래) 등에 대한 대화를 나누었다. 면담 결과는 굿슨의 네 단계 분석(Goodson & Choi, 2008)을 통해 검토하였고, 그 결과 도출된 1차 범주와 2차 범주를 중심으로 10대 독서인들의 발화를 분석하였다. 나아가 분석 결과 드러난 10대 독서인들의 공통적 독서 동인/요인/정서/행동/진로를 통해 시사받을 수 있는 독서교육의 방향성을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine how teenagers with the "reader" identity organize and perform their identity. This is because it was premised that the cases and voices of teenage readers could guide the direction of reading education. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the researchers conducted group interviews with high school students who pride themselves on being readers. We chose the method of collecting life experiences through FGI as a research method, and talked about the drivers and factors that led to reading (past), how they feel and behave about current reading (present), and the relationship between future life and reading (future). The interview results were reviewed through Goodson's four-step analysis (Goodson & Choi, 2008), and the speech of teenage readers was analyzed, focusing on the primary and secondary categories derived as a result. Furthermore, the direction of reading education that can be suggested through the common reading drivers/factors/emotional/behavior/career of teenage readers revealed as a result of the analysis was proposed.
