용서, 헌신, 부정적 갈등대처양식, 결혼만족도간의 구조적 관계

초록

본 연구는 기혼남녀의 용서, 헌신, 부정적 갈등대처양식, 결혼만족도간의 구조적 관계를규명하고자 이루어졌다. 이를 위하여 기혼남녀의 용서가 헌신, 부정적 갈등대처양식을 매개로 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 구조적 관계를 설정하였고, 이를 구조방정식 모형을 통해 분석하였다. 모형검증을 위해 총 300명의 기혼남녀들에게 용서척도, 헌신척도, 의사소통척도, 부정적 갈등대처양식척도, 결혼만족도 척도로 구성된 설문지를 실시하였고, 변인들 간의 구조적 관계를 확인하였다. 연구결과 용서, 헌신, 부정적 갈등대처양식, 결혼만족도간의 부분매개모형이 적합한 모형임이 검증 되었다. 주요연구결과는 첫째, 용서는 헌신에 정적인 영향을 주고, 헌신은 결혼만족도에 정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 용서는 부정적인갈등대처양식에 부적인 영향을 주고, 부정적 갈등대처양식은 결혼만족도에 부적인 영향을 주며, 헌신은 부정적 갈등대처양식에 부적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 용서와 결혼만족도의 관계에서 헌신은 매개요인으로 유의미하고, 부정적 갈등대처양식은 유의미하지 않으나 용서는 헌신과 부정적 갈등대처양식을 이중매개로 결혼만족에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 결혼관계에서 용서가 결혼만족도에 영향을 주기 위해서는 부정적인 요인의 감소뿐만 아니라 헌신과 같은 긍정적인 행동양식을 활성화하는 것이 필요하다는 것을 시사한다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 시사점과 제한점 및 추후 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationship between forgiveness, commitment, negative conflict coping styles, and marital satisfaction. For this, it carried out questionnaire, which was composed of forgiveness trait scale, commitment scale, communication scale, conflict coping style scale, and marital satisfaction scale, targeting totally 300 married men and women. The structural relationship among variables was confirmed through analyzing the structural equation model. The results of this study were as follows. First, forgiveness had a positive effect on commitment and commitment had a positive effect on marital satisfaction. And forgiveness trait had a negative effect on negative conflict coping styles, conflict coping styles had a negative effect on marital satisfaction, and commitment had a negative effect on conflict coping styles. Second, commitment was significant as a mediating variable between forgiveness and marital satisfaction. And the double mediating effect of commitment and negative conflict coping styles between forgiveness and marital satisfaction was showed. This suggests that in a marriage relationship, forgiveness effectively works in marital satisfaction when activation of positive behavioral styles outweighs reduction of negative behavioral styles. In addition, the implications of the study on the basis of these results and the limitations and future research directions are discussed.
