대학의 역할이 전통적인 교육과 연구 외에 지역 협력 등으로 확장되면서 교육부는 고등직업교육거점지구(HiVE) 사업을 통해 지역문제 해결을 목표로 하는 지역사회 공헌활동을 추진하고 있다. 본 연구는 S대학이 추진한 HiVE 사업을 사례로 하여 대학의 지역사회공헌활동과 이러한 활동의 사회･문화적 영향, 그리고 이들이 대학평판에 미치는영향과의 구조적 관계를 밝히고 특히, 지역사회공헌활동이 대학평판에 영향을 미치는과정에서 사회･문화적 영향의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 대학의 지역사회 공헌 활동은 대학의 평판과 지역사회에 사회･문화적으로 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로확인되었다. 또한 대학의 지역사회 공헌 활동의 사회문화적 영향은 대학의 평판에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 특히, 대학의 지역사회 공헌 활동이 대학의 평판에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 긍정적 매개역할을 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 대학의지역사회 공헌 활동이 지속될 수 있는 후속 프그램과 법･제도적 기반 마련이 필요함을제언하였다.
Abstract
This study uses the HiVE project promoted by S University as a case study to reveal the structural relationship between the university's community contribution activities, the social and cultural impact of these activities, and their impact on the university's reputation. In particular, the university's community contribution activities The mediating effect of social and cultural influence in the process of influencing reputation was verified. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the university's community contribution activities have a positive social and cultural impact on the university's reputation and the local community. In addition, the socio-cultural impact of a university's community contribution activities has a positive effect on the university's reputation, and in particular, it has been confirmed that a university's community contribution activities play a positive mediating role in the process of influencing the university's reputation. Based on these results, it was suggested that follow-up programs and legal and institutional foundations must be established so that the university's community contribution activities can continue.
