본 연구의 목적은 체육교사의 스트레스 대처전략을 알아보고, 나아가 대처전략과 직무탈진과의 관계를 규명하는 것이다. 본 연구에서 얻은 결과를 논의하면 다음과 같다. 본 연구 대상자는 서울에 위치한 중․고등학교에서 재직 중인 체육교사 203명이다. 본 연구의 측정도구로 스트레스 대처 검사지와 직무탈진 검사지를 이용하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 12.0 Version과 AMOS 5.0을 이용하였다. 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스트레스에 대한 대처전략으로 체육교사들은 정서중심적 대처전략이 가장 높았고, 문제중심적 대처전략이 가장 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 체육교사 스트레스 대처전략과 직무탈진과의 경로분석 결과, 문제중심적 대처와 사회적지지 추구 대처 같은 적극적 대처는 직무탈진과 부적 관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났으며, 정서중심적 대처와 소망사고적 대처와 같은 소극적 대처는 직무탈진과 정적 관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze level of stress coping strategy and examine relationship between stress coping strategy and job burnout of the physical education teachers. The subjects were 203 physical education teachers. The subjects completed stress coping inventory and job burnout inventory. Collected data were analyzed using correlation analysis and path analysis. Data were analyzed through SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0. Statistical significance level was set α=.05. The results were as follows. Firstly, physical education teachers used the most problem-focused coping but used the least emotion-focused coping. Secondly, active coping such as problem-focused coping and social support coping negatively affected job burnout of the physical education teachers, while passive coping such as wishful thinking coping positively affected job burnout of the physical education teachers. Limitations of this study and future implications were discussed.
