영화 <남한산성>에 나타난 협상 사례 연구 - 갈등 해결의 접근방식을 중심으로 -

협상 교육의 목표는 세상에 존재하는 갈등을 없애는 것이 아니라, 갈등 해결과정에 발생하는 불필요한 비용을 감소시키고 양측이 협상을 통해 거래 이전보다더 나은 결과를 얻도록 하는 데 있다. 실무적인 성격이 강한 협상 분야의 특성상효과적인 교육과 학습을 위해 다양한 형태의 학습 방법과 도구가 요구된다. 영화는 비교적 짧은 시간에 갈등 전후의 맥락을 흥미롭게 이해할 수 있고, 갈등 상황의 주요 이슈와 해결 과정이 매우 구체적으로 묘사되기 때문에 협상 교육을 위한콘텐츠로써 매우 효과적인 텍스트이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 영화 <‘남한산성>을활용한 협상 교육 콘텐츠를 개발하였다. 영화 <남한산성>은 조선시대에 실제 있었던 조선과 청의 갈등 상황에서, 이 갈등을 해결하려는 대응 방식과 관련하여 조정의 대신들 사이의 첨예한 대립이 구체적으로 묘사된다는 점에서 협상 교육 콘텐츠로서 적합한 특징을 가지고 있다. 본연구는 <남한산성>의 역사적 배경과 시놉시스를 간단히 서술하고, 영화상에 묘사된이조판서 최명길과 예조판서 김상헌으로 대표되는 주화파와 척화파가 각각 주장하는 갈등 해결의 접근 방식을 Ury, Brett, & Goldberg(1988)의 프레임웍으로 분석하고, 시사점을 정리하였다. 본 연구가 국내 협상 교육에 널리 활용되기를 기대해본다.
Abstract
The goal of negotiation education is not to eliminate conflicts that exist in the world, but to reduce unnecessary costs incurred in the conflict resolution process and to enable both sides to obtain better results than before the transaction. Due to the nature of the negotiation field with a strong practical nature, various types of learning methods and tools are required for effective education and learning. The movie is a very effective text as content for negotiation education because the context before and after conflict can be understood in a relatively short time in interesting way, and the main issues and resolution process of the conflict situation are described very specifically. Therefore, this study developed negotiation education contents using the movie ‘The Fortress’. The movie ‘The Fortress’ has characteristics suitable as negotiation educational content in that it specifically depicts the sharp confrontation between the ministers of the court in relation to the response method to resolve the conflict between Chosun and Qing during the Chosun Dynasty. This study briefly describes the historical background and synopsis of the movie “The Fortress”, and analyze the approach to conflict resolution claimed by Choi Myung-Gil and Kim Sang-Heon depicted in the film using the framework of Ury, Brett, & Goldberg(1988). I expect that this study will be widely used in domestic negotiation education.
