초록

Recently anti-government and democratization protests have been sweeping the countries in Middle East and North Africa(MENA). The change was triggered by poverty, unemployment and dictatorship lasting decades in this region. Similarly, Central Asian states has faced with the problems such as prolonged authoritarian regimes in power, corruption, clan politics, poverty, inflation, and unemployment. This study explores whether Central Asian states could see changes currently undergoing in MENA. There do co-exist elements possibly triggering changes in near future on the one hand but effectively maintaining the status quo at the other hand.

Abstract
