모델전공 재학생의 신체비교와 신체만족도의 관계

본 연구는 모델전공 재학생을 대상으로 하여 신체비교가 신체만족도에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 성별과 에이전시계약경험 유무에 따라 신체비교와 신체만족도의 차이가 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 전국의 모델전공 재학생을 대상으로 하여 오프라인과 온라인을 통해 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 총 244부를 최종 분석 자료로 사용하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 20.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 다중회귀분석, 독립표본 t-검정을 실시하였으며, 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구대상 전체를 대상으로 신체비교는 신체만족도에 부분적으로 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 연구대상의 성별에 따라 신체비교와 신체만족도는 부분적으로 유의한 차이가있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 연구대상의 에이전시 계약경험 유무에 따라 신체비교와 신체만족도는 부분적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 신체비교 또는 신체만족도는 자존감, 자신감, 학습동기, 좌절감, 우울감, 이상섭식행동 등 많은 요소들의 선행요인이 될 수 있으므로 다양한 변수간의 연구에 대한 필요성을 함의하고 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to identify how body comparison influences on the body cathexis of students majoring in modeling and whether the gender and agency contract status influence on the body comparison and body cathexis. This paper targeted on the college students majoring in modeling, conducted online and offline survey, and used total of 244 results for the analysis. To analyze the collected data, this paper used SPSS 20.0 and carried out the frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis, and independent samples t-test. The analysis results were as follows. First, body comparison had a negative influence on the body cathexis to some degree. Secondly, the subjects showed significant difference in body comparison and body cathexis depending on the gender. Third, the subjects showed significant difference in body comparison and body cathexis depending on whether the subjects signed a contract with agency or not. As the body comparison and body cathexis may act as the predisposing factors of selfesteem, confidence, learning motive, frustration, depression, disordered eating behavior, and other elements, there needs to be multidisciplinary researches on the body comparison and body cathexis.
