Abstract

The main purpose of this report is to find out how to do perm and coloring at the same time through experiments. Through achieving the main purpose, this report will examine how long does it take for curl and coloring at the same time and also whether there are any hair damages during the time. The aim of this research is to save time for curl and coloring at the same time. At beauty shop, it takes about an hour and twenty minutes for perm and an hour for coloring. In most shops, it normally takes about ten days for coloring after having perm due to the hair damage if perm and coloring are done at the same time. Therefore, the outcome of this research shows that if perm and coloring can be done at the same time, we can save the time from one hour to 10 days. Except for the first 65 minutes of formative period of curl that has been monitored every 5 minutes after the first 20 minutes of time span from the beginning of curl, formation of curl and chromogenic of color showed either same or better result. In addition, the result of the hair damage is either same or better. It can be thought that the result of this experiment would be the driving force of perm development while there has been not much improvement of perm since the Cold Wave Perm was introduced. Moreover, I believe that the experiment of perm and coloring done at the same time was successful as the color was focused on the dark brown for increasing of old generation to cover their gray hairs. However, there will be the need of continuous study which can express various colors in order to meet the demands of different color preferences in the future.
