‘赤色ᄭᅢᆼ그 事件’과 廉想涉의 通俗小說 「白鷗」

Abstract

This essay aims to examine the relevance between ‘The Red Gang Incident’ and “White Dove”. There are two issues in this essay. First, “White Dove” has meaning as the work which Yeom Sang-Seop designed at the level of narrative response about ‘The Red Gang Incident’ which is emerged as a series of articles that focus on newspaper ahead. This di- rectly cerfitied by the fact that socialist organization describing in “White Dove” is compared by bank raid gang. Further this indirectly is indorsed the fact that the conduct of socialist even in “A Fig Tree(無花果)” which is just before work, is signified by resistant to the colonial system behavior as opposed to “White Dove”. Second, as “White Dove” is designed at the level of narrative response about ‘The Red Gang Incident’, it is fictionally transformed into article content of ‘The Red Gang Incident’. Because in “White Dove” socialist organizational behavior which is problematized in analogy with the gang, objectives, methods, targets, in many ways, is sim- ilar to article content of ‘The Red Gang Incident’ which is reported in the newspaper. In such a point a vulgar crime narrative form in “White Dove” is the result of intrinsic of intent which want to highlight the socialist criminal through the narrative transformation of ‘The Red Gang Incident’.
