장애유아 아버지와 비장애 유아 아버지의 행복에 대한 인식

본 연구는 장애유아 아버지와 비장애 유아 아버지의 행복에 대한 인식을 탐색함으로써 장애유아 아버지의 행복감 증진을 위한 프로그램 개발 및 사회적 지원 방안 탐색을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 부산광역시와 경상남도 소재 유아교육기관에 재원중인 만 1-8세 특수교육대상 유아 아버지 112명과 만 1-8세의 비장애 유아 아버지 114명, 총 226명을 대상으로 행복에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 이를 통해 얻은 주된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애유아 아버지의 행복감은 평균 수준이었으며, 비장애 유아 아버지의 행복감은 다소 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 장애유아 아버지의 행복감과 비장애 유아 아버지의 행복감에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 확인되었다. 둘째, 장애유아 아버지의 변인에 따른 행복감은 학력과 수입에서 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 비장애 유아 아버지의 변인에 행복감은 학력, 수입, 단체 활동 참여 유무, 자녀 연령에서 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 장애유아 아버지의 행복감 향상이 자녀양육에의 긍정적 파급효과를 가지기 위해서는 장애유아 가정을 지원해 줄 국가적 정책 및 부모교육 프로그램 등의 개발이 요구됨을 시사한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of perception on happiness of fathers of young children with and without disabilities. To this end, 226 subjects who were fathers of young children aged 1-8 were asked to complete the questionnaire. The results were as follows. First, the level of recognition on happiness of fathers of young children with disabilities was on the average. As well the level of perception on happiness of fathers of young children without disabilities was more or less higher than the average. Also, there were significant differences between the level of happiness of fathers of young children with disabilities and without disabilities. Second, there were statistically significant differences according to sociodemographic variables of fathers of young children with disabilities such as scholarship and income level. As well, there were significant differences according to sociodemographic variables of fathers of young children without disabilities such as scholarship, income level, group activity, and child’s age. Based on these results, it could be concluded that it needs to develop various educational programs and offer welfare supports to facilitate the level of happiness of fathers of young children with disabilities.
