장애인의 마약류 중독과 회복과정에 대한 현상학적 연구

본 연구는 장애인들 마약중독과 회복과정에 대한 경험을 다룬 질적 연구이다. 연구자들은 연구참여자들에게 마약의 의미와 마약으로 경험하게 되는 개인적･사회적 차원에서의 경험과 회복과정을 기술적 현상학적 연구로 분석하였다. 또한 연구결과를 기반으로 장애인들의 마약중독 예방과 회복을 도울 수 있는 실천방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 장애인들 중 마약중독에서 회복된 9명의 연구참여자들을 대상으로 1:1 심층면담을 통해 마약사용과정과 피해, 그리고 마약중독에서의 회복과정에 대한 자료를 수집하여 의미를 구성하였다. 수집된 자료는 Giorgi(2009:336)가 제시한 기술적현상학적 분석방법의 절차에 따라 분석하였다. 그 결과 72개 중심의미와 25개 하위구성요소, 8개의 구성요소가 도출되었다. 구성요소를 연구참여자들의 마약중독에 이르게 된 상황과 경험, 회복과 사회복귀의 경험으로 나눴다. 첫 번째 마약에 이르게 된 상황과 경험은 구술한 낙인의 해방구, 경이로운 신세계, 불행한 운명과 환상의 교환, 사회속의 무간지옥, 철옹성 같은 재진입 장벽으로 의미를 구성하였다. 회복과 사회복귀의 경험은 극한에서의 존재 부활욕망, 자기 정체성의 소환, 무지개 뜬 새 하늘로 의미를 구성하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 근거로 하여 장애인들의 마약사용과 회복에 관한 의미를 살펴보았다. 또한 연구참여자들은 장애라는 낙인으로부터 벗어나고 싶어서선택한 마약이 자신의 삶에 부정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 이러한 부정적 영향에서 성장의의미로 재구성하는 과정을 논의하였다. 장애인들의 마약중독문제는 비장애인의 마약중독문제와는 다른 접근이 필요하며 이러한 접근방안을 마련하기 위한 회복과 예방에대한 제언을 하였다.
Abstract
This study is a qualitative study dealing with the experiences of drug addiction and recovery process among the disabled. The researchers analyzed the meaning of drugs to the research participants and the experiences and recovery processes experienced with drugs at the personal and social level through technical phenomenological studies. In addition, based on the results of the study, it was intended to derive practical measures that can help the disabled people to prevent and recover from drug addiction. The meaning of this study was constructed by collecting data on the drug use process and damage, and the recovery process from drug addiction through 1:1 in-depth interviews with nine research participants who recovered from drug addiction among the disabled. The collected data were analyzed according to the procedure of the technical phenomenological analysis method suggested by Giorgi (2009:336). As a result, 72 central meanings, 25 sub-components, and 8 components were derived. The components were divided into the situation and experience that led to drug addiction of the study participants, and the experience of recovery and rehabilitation. The situation and experience that led to the first drug constituted the meaning of the oral stigma's liberation sphere, the marvelous new world, the exchange of unfortunate fate and fantasy, the infernal hell in society, and barriers to re-entry such as Cheol Ongseong. The experience of recovery and social rehabilitation constituted the meaning of the desire for resurrection of existence in the extreme, the summons of self-identity, and a new sky with a rainbow. Based on these research results, the implications of drug use and recovery of people with disabilities were examined. In addition, the study participants wanted to get out of the stigma of disability, so the drug they chose had a negative effect on their lives, and discussed the process of reorganizing this negative effect into the meaning of growth. The drug addiction problem of the disabled needs a different approach than the drug addiction problem of the non-disabled, and a suggestion for recovery and prevention was made to prepare such an approach.
