집단미술치료 프로그램이 중도척수장애인의 장애수용과 자아존중감에 미치는 영향

연구목적: 본 연구는 집단미술치료 프로그램이 중도척수장애인의 장애수용과 자아존중감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구방법: 병원생활에 어려움을 겪고 있는 중도척수장애인 16명을 실험집단과 통제집단으로 구성하여 주 2회씩 한회기당 90분으로 총 10회기 프로그램으로 진행되었다. 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위해서 장애수용 척도와 자아존중감 척도를 사용하여 집단미술치료 프로그램의 사전, 사후 점수를 비교하였다. 유의미한 정도를 알아보기 위해 SPSS Window 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 t검정 과 대응표본분석을 하였다. 연구결과: 본 연구결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 집단미술치료 프로그램이 중도척수장애인의 장애수용에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 집단미술치료 프로그램이 중도척수장애인의 자아존중감에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 결론: 본 연구를 통해, 중도 장애로 인해 신체적, 심리적으로 힘든 중도척수장애인들에게 미술치료 프로그램의 활용가능성을 제시하며 중도척수장애인들을 위한 임상프로그램을 개발하는데 있어 유용한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
Purpose: This study has verified the effect of‘group art therapy program on the acceptance of disability and self-esteem of people with noncongenital-spinal cord injuries. Method: Sixteen patients with noncongenital-spinal cord injuries who have difficulty with hospital life are composed of experimental group and control group. The experimental group was offered a group art therapy for 90 minutes a day twice a week, totalling 10 sessions. To verify the effects of the program, Disability Acceptance Scale and Self-Esteem Scale were used before and after the therapy to compare their scores, with SPSS Window 18.0 used for t-test and paired t-test to identify the degree of significance. Results: Based on the objective of this study, the findings are as follows. First, the group art therapy program had a positive effect on the acceptance of disability of people with noncongenital-spinal cord injuries. Second, the group art therapy program was effective in boosting the self-esteem of people with noncongenital-spinal cord injuries. Conclusion: Hopefully, the program can be developed into a practical program that can benefit those with noncongenital-spinal cord injuries and the findings of this study can be useful for developing a clinical program for people with noncongenital-spinal cord injuries.
