본 연구는 디자인 분야의 잠재능력을 측정하고자 하는 특수적성검사인 ‘디자인 진로적성검사’에 대한 타당성을 검증하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이 검사는 능력검사가 아닌 자기보고식 문항으로 구성되어 있으며 자기반성의 인지적 능력이 형성된 대학생들이 자신을 점검하고 진로선택에 도움을 받을 수 있는 검사이다. 따라서 검사의 지속적인 사용과 개선을 위한 타당성 검증은 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 전국의 13개 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 디자인 전공분야의 학생 1204명을 분석의 대상으로 하여 문항과 총점 간 상관, 하위요인과 총점간의 상관, 문항간의 관계를 설명하는 요인구조에 대한 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 검사의 하위척도인 디자인 기초소양척도와 디자인 전공소양척도 모두 문항내적일관성지수에서 높은 신뢰도를 보였으며, 문항과 각 척도 총점과의 상관 및 각 하위요인과 하위척도 총점과의 상관에서도 한 문항을 제외하고는 유사한 심리적 속성을 나타내주는 것으로 나타났다. 확인적 요인분석 결과 디자인 기초소양척도의 일곱 개의 요인구조는 적합한 것으로 나타났으며, 디자인 전공소양척도에서는 다섯 개의 요인이 디자인 전공소양을 구성하는 요인으로 가정한 위계적 2차 모형이 적합한 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study performed to validate Career Aptitude Test for Designers which was developed to identify the aptitude to be a designer for college and high school students. The test was composed of 55 items of self-report inventory on a five-point scale. It is indispensable to validate factor structure of the test for the continuous use and improvement on the Career Aptitude Test for Designers. The test result of 1204 design-major college students were analyzed by correlation between items and total scores, factors and total scores, and confirmatory factor analysis. The results showed that the seven factor structure of basic design competency was adequate model, and the hierarchical model of the five factor composing advanced design competency was proved to be a good fit.
