IoT를 활용한 재활용 분리 배출 시스템

Abstract

Throwing garbage imprudently without separating recyclable waste causes many problems. It not only destroys city scenery, but also interrupts recycle process and creates a negative conception about disposal behavior. To solve these problems, this study proposes a new recycle process, which can improve people's awareness about recycling and change people’s behavior. First, this study is based on a literature research for domestic and international existing cases, which is a theoretical background of this study. Next, customer needs are defined based on customer research through in-depth interviews and concept is generated. The design concept is one integrated system that uses a recycle bin and application which use IoT technology. This study is valuable because of following things. Unlike the existing services which tried to solve only one part of the problems, this study tries to suggest an integrated solution to solve complex problems. This study also tries to consider the sustainability of system’s financial side, and to apply ​​IoT to the design for social issues.
