공공벤치의 재활용 플라스틱 적용에 관한 연구

디자인은 생산 자체의 지속 가능한 순환을 고려하기에 이르렀고 플라 스틱의 순환을 위해서 단일 플라스틱 재활용이 중요하다. 국내 재활용 플라스틱 공공벤치의 경우 타 소재와 혼합사용이 일반적이다. 이에 본 연구는 공공벤치의 재활용 플라스틱 소재 적용을 위한 방향성 확인 및 공 공벤치의 다양한 형태 변화를 위한 기초적 자료를 목적으로 국내외 가이드 라인 분석, 사례 분석을 통한 디자인적 특성 도출, 선행 연구 고찰을 통한 소재특성분석을통한방향성확인및정성적요소를도출하였다.연구결 과, 국내 가이드라인의 경우 공공벤치에 자연 친화적·친환경소재 적용이 유 지·보수 및 지속가능성 측면에서 공공벤치를 구성함에 있어 중요한 요소였 으며 국외 가이드라인의 경우 공공시설물에 재활용 소재의 사용을 적극 권 장하고 있었다. 국내 사례에선 폐플라스틱에 대한 인식개선 목적으로 공공 벤치에 재활용 소재 적용을 시도하며 국외 사례의 경우 HDPE 단일 플라 스틱 사용으로 지속적인 재활용이 가능하였다. 재활용 HDPE의 내구성은 공공벤치 적용 가능성이 가능함을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 기반으로 공공벤 치가 갖는 기능·의미적 장점과 재활용 플라스틱이 갖는 장점이 결합된 다양 한 디자인 및 기획 연구가 이루어지기를 기대한다.
Abstract
Design now prioritizes sustainable production circulation, emphasizing single plastic recycling for its circulation. Domestic recycled plastic benches often use mixed materials. This study aims to derive design insights and foundational data for various public bench forms by analyzing domestic and overseas guidelines, conducting case studies, and assessing material traits from prior research. Results show domestically, applying eco-friendly materials to public benches is crucial for maintenance and sustainability, while overseas, there are strong recommendations for using recycled materials in public facilities. Domestic cases aim to raise awareness of plastic waste by applying recycled materials to benches, while international cases demonstrate the viability of continuous HDPE single plastic recycling. Recycled HDPE's durability confirms its suitability for benches. This study anticipates diverse design and planning efforts to blend the functional and symbolic advantages of public benches with recycled plastics' benefits.
