기술창업기업의 특성 및 일자리 창출 실증분석

본 논문에서는 기술창업기업을 핵심 키워드로 내세워 산업적 특성을 통계적으로 분석하고, 기술창업기업의 고용창출에 기여하는 주요 요인이 무엇인지를 실증분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 기술창업기업은 자본금 대비 R&D투자 비중이 2.2%, 자본금 대비 무형자산액 비중이 3.3% 이상인 기업으로 나타났다. 둘째, 기술창업기업의 연평균 고용증가율이 기타 창업기업에 비해 통계적으로 유의미하게 더 높게 나타났다. 셋째, DID모형을 분석한 결과, 시간이 갈수록 기술창업기업의 고용증가효과가 기타 창업기업에 비해 더 크게 나타났다. 넷째, 입지결정에 대한 회귀분석 결과, 기술창업 여부, 정부지원 여부, 인력수급 미스매치 여부 등은 공통적으로 입지결정에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 고용창출에 대한 회귀분석 결과, 기술창업기업 여부, 수도권 소재 여부, 금융자산 확보 여부 등이 중요한 결정요인으로 분석되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the industrial characteristics of technology-based start-ups and the contributing factors to job creation. The results are as the following. First, the testing hypothesis of Gibrat’s law showed that the contribution of technology-based start-ups to employment is much higher than others. Second, DID analysis showed that the effects created by technology-based start-ups appear to be greater than that of others. Third, the regression analysis indicated that technology-based start-ups, their location in the metropolitan areas, and the securing of financial assets are to be important factors to job creation.
