본 연구는 자본자유화 이후 해외 충격의 파급효과를 검토하고자 한다. 검토결과 우리나라 경제의 변동성이 자본자유화 이후 크게 증가하였으며 자본의 유출입과 자산가격의 변화가 상호 연계되어 있음을 보였다. 우리나라의 대외충격 민감도와 파급경로를 분석하기 위해 이국모형을 구축하고, 2000년부터 2009년까지의 기간 동안 미국과 우리나라의 주요 거시경제변수를 활용하여 동 모형을 추정하였다. 추정결과 미국으로 대표되는 해외 금융시장 충격 및 금융정책 충격 등이 다양한 파급경로를 통해서 우리나라 경제에 강력하게 영향을 주는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
Abstract
This paper documents the issues related with capital flows and macroeconomic stability. After capital liberalization, Korean economic has experienced the increased volatility of consumption. The paper sets up the model and estimates the parameters by using Beysian estimation method. The shocks of the foreign financial sector propagate into the major macroeconomic variables of the Korea economy. From the variance decomposition analysis, the paper finds out that the domestic major variables are heavily influenced by the external shocks.
