1978년 말 시작된 중국의 경제개혁은 시간이 지남에 따라 그 속도와 깊이가 심화되고 있으며, 특히 최근에 진행되고 있는 사영기업의 성장이 갖는 의미는 경제적으로나 정치적으로 매우 중요하지만, 공간적으로도 그 발전의 차별성으로도적 변화와 함께 사영기업 성장의 지역구조를 이해하고자 하였다. 사영기업의 성장 이면에는 경제개혁의 근본접근양식이시장화전략과 경제개혁이 진행됨에 따라 나타나는 실업의 문제해결이라는 중요한 동기가 자리 잡고 있다. 사영기업 발전의지역패턴 또한 지속적으로 심화되는 공간적 차별화에 의해 특징 지워진다. 지역통계자료에 기초한 일차적인 분석결과, 사영기업의 발전은 지역경제의 시장화정도와 밀접한 관련성을 보이게 된다. 따라서 향후 경제발전의 지역적 패턴특정은 경제개혁의 진전과 시장화 수준에 따라 결정될 것으로 생각되며, 이는 향후 지역발전을 위한 전략 수립에서 사영기업 발전전략이 차지하는 중요성을 뚜렷히 보여준다.
Abstract
The economic reform in China since 1978 has been increasingly sped up and deepened.The recent development of private enterprises, especially, has significant economic and politicalimplications, whereas its regional differentiation has considerable impacts on both the developmentpotential of certain regions and overall regional growth pattern. This study aims to understand theregional pattern of private enterprise growth as well as the institutional change which hasstructured the growth process. The development of private enterprises turned out to be closely tiedto the marketization strategy of dual-track system and policy needs to reduce the unemploymentlevel in both urban and rural China. The regional pattern of the private enterprise growth can becharacterized as ever-increasing spatial differentiation. Based on the basic statistical analysis results,it is argued that the private enterprise growth is closed related with the marketization level of theregional economy. Therefore, the strategy of developing private sector will be more important inshaping the regional development path as well as potential.
