삼림자원의 시장화 성쇠- 봉화군 춘양목을 사례로 -

Abstract

As Chunyangmok(春陽木), Korean traditional pine tree, has a good quality in terms of perfume, straightness and hardness of wood. Therefore, it had been widely used as an excellent timber by the Korean royal families from an old times. In the past, it was easily seen in Kyungsang-province including Bongwha-county(奉化), the whole area of Kangwon-province and a part area of Cholla-province. Chunyangmok had been well preserved owing to policy of prohibiting from or blocking off entering a mountain area. And also, the distribution range of it had been widened. Today, however, it has been barely kept itself in existence even in the area of Bongwha-county. Moreover, the marketability of Chunyangmok in lumber industry has been declined because imported lumbers and wood substitutes has been widely used in the every aspect of our daily life. In the response to the change of market demand on Chunyangmok, in recent, Bongwha-county is trying to establish eco-friendly theme park of Chunyangmok and make public information about the tourist facilities. By making such an effort, the government and inhabitants of Bongwha-county vitalize its tourism industry in addition to preserve its traditional beauty in the county.
