Abstract
The sex criterion has become less and less pertinent, efficient and precise when it comes to delimiting, or even defining someone‘s identity. It has today become possible to observe that cognitive performances of one sex modify and come closer to those of the other sex, and that sexual identities tend to become ambiguous and merge. In order to account for this tendency, I postulate that, from a psychic point of view, each of us is simultaneously provided with qualities of both sexes, the feminine and the masculine. It seems that women’s femininity and men‘s masculinity are the product of social discipline. Nowadays, indifferenciation can be considered a tendency in both men‘s and women’s fashion, in a way that fashion neutralizes sexuality. The masculinisation of women‘s fashion and the feminization of men’s fashion seems a symbolic and subjacent manifestation of the opposite sex. And this tendency is probably in close relation with the fusion of both sexes in modern society. The method and purpose of this research are to analyze the tendency of feminization in men's fashion through form of clothing, texture, accessory and cosmetics which presents in Occident and Orient since 1990s and also to comprehend the sexual ambiguity in the present society
