화조화 모티프를 응용한 현대 의상 연구 -꽃, 새, 나비 모티프를 중심으로-

Regional phenomenon of discovering and improving cultural tradition of each nation is being magnified amidst the intense competition within the complex multi-cultural, multi-functional modern society in this global era. Even in today’s fashion industry, the revival of traditional patterns has been grafted with traditional image and modern sense to present differentiated aspects. This study aims to find the Korean traditional beauty from cases in 2010~2011 Collection and analyze the symbolic meaning of flowers, birds and butterflies. Based on this we made 3 modern and creative works that possess the motif of flowers, birds and butterflies. Thus, the symbolic meaning possessed by painting on birds and flowers displays sufficient significance to shed new light on such value in modern society in that bright ethnicity can be read through painting on birds and flowers which appears well-harmonized and beautiful. Also, being expressed as differentiated aspect in this standardized global culture in order to develop various designs and contribute to high value creation in order to propose and create creative designs.
