한국의 전통 장신구 기법 및 재료를 응용한 현대 패션 주얼리 디자인 개발

As foreigners are increasingly interested in Korean culture due to K-POP and Korean Wave, a variety of products with Korean images are actively developed. Also, as the global market is increasingly interested in Korean culture, it is a great opportunity to appeal Korean decoration culture such as hanbok and accessary and is enough to be the subject of interest. To focus on the design in keeping with a global trend, the development of the design which reflected the harmonious compromise and popularity between Korean elements and Western elements rather than emphasizing extremely Korean feelings. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to suggest the design for the revitalization of fashion jewelry market which reflected Korean images in keeping with a current trend. In this study, we considered fashion jewelry is appropriate for methods that anyone can easily design and produce with materials which is readily available and that we can create the maximum effect at economically reasonable costs. Therefore, I designed and produced eight pieces of fashion jewelry for ladies through a concept that the tradition and modernism coexist by applying materials and techniques used in Korean traditional accessary. In this way, we consider that we will contribute to introducing aesthetic values and excellence of Korean traditional culture to the world and expanding the base for Korean fashion jewelry in global fashion jewelry market in global era. Therefore, we need to continuously get more interest and effort to introduce the high quality accessary culture in Korea to the world and carry on the traditional design.
