청소년기 학교폭력 피해 및 가해 경험이초기 성인기 발달 결과에 미치는 영향

이 연구에서는 청소년기동안 발생한 학교폭력 피해 또는 가해경험 유형이 초기 성인기 발달 결과에 미치는 영향을 설명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국아동청소년패널 중1패널의 2차부터 7차 조사 응답자 1,881명을 연구대상으로 하여 분석하였다. 응답자 가운데 중학교 2학년부터 고등학교 3학년까지 한 번 이상 학교폭력 가해경험이 있었던 경우 13.4%, 피해 경험이 있었던 경우 12.3%, 피해와 가해 경험이 모두 있었던 경우 8.1%, 가해나 피해 경험이 없었던 경우가 66.1%였다. 초기 성인기의 발달 결과에 대해서는 주관적 건강상태, 건강문제 수, 음주, 주의집중, 공격성, 신체증상, 위축 및 우울 등의 지표를 이용하여 잠재프로파일 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 초기 성인기 발달 결과는 4개 유형의 집단, 즉‘보통 적응 수준 집단(45.7%)’, ‘높은 음주 위험 집단(6.2%)’, ‘높은 적응 수준 집단(28.1%)’, ‘낮은 건강+심리 정서적 문제 위험 집단(19.9%)’으로 구분되었다. 학교폭력 가해 경험이 있었던 경우 ‘보통 적응 수준 집단’에 비해 ‘높은 음주 위험 집단’에 속할 가능성이 높았으며, 피해나 가해와 피해 경험이 모두 있었던 경우 ‘보통 적응 수준 집단’에 비해 ‘낮은 건강+높은 심리 정서적 문제 위험 집단’에 속할 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 근거로 하여, 학교폭력 예방 및 개입을 위한 전략에 대해 논의하였다.
Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to explore the long-term effects of being bullied or a bully in adolescence on development outcomes in early adulthood. A total of 1,881 participants who had being assessed between the 2nd and 6th waves of Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey were used in this study. The research participants were categorized as bullies only(13.4%), victims only(12.3%), bullies and victims(8.1%), or neither(66.1%). Development outcomes, which included health, diseases, drinking, attention and concentration, aggression, somatic symptoms, withdrawal and depression, were assessed in young adulthood. Using latent profile analysis, four classes of development outcomes in early adulthood were identified: ‘moderate adjusted(45.7%)', ‘high-risk for drinking`(6.2%), ‘good-adjusted(28.1%)' and 'poor health+high-risk of psychological problems(19.9%)'. Bullies were at increased risk of drinking and victims or bullies/victims had a higher prevalence of poor health and psychological problems in young adulthood. The implications for both practice and policy implications are also discussed.
