국어 접사의 기능과 형태 범주- 복합어 내부의 개재 접사를 중심으로-

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the morphological function and category of an affix which intervenes two formatives in Korean complex word. In complex verb 'dol+ə+boda(=look back)', '-ə' is inserted to distinguish the meaning between 'dol+ə+boda' and 'dol+boda(=take care of)'. But in complex verb 'gəl+ə+gada(=go on foot)', '-ə' is inserted to link two formatives. And in complex noun 'dari+ɨm+i'(=an iron), '-ɨm' is inserted to avoid the phonological restriction of a nominal affix 'i'. The selection of an affix which intervenes two formatives is based on the linking principle of a form. In Korean, affixes as a listeme are not divided into derivational affixes(or lexical affixes) and inflectional affixes(or syntactic affixes).
