Abstract
From the early 1980s, new series of studies began to emerge, using new materials and methods to investigate the language areas of a more detailed linguistic perspective. This paper explores a neurological approach to linguistics, particularly the theories of movement. The notion of movement has been dramatically changed and is recently reframed by (internal) Merge and OCC(urrence)-feature. Locality is relaxed to the extent that seemingly remote items can be associated in terms of Agree and Phase. This paper translates the syntactic notions of movement into basic brain-language terms with respect to the chunking theory and the economy principle, both of which are designed to reduce computational load in language processing.
