백석과 윤동주는 시공간적으로 긴밀성을 지니고 있다. 즉 두 시인은 이북에서 태어났으며, 서울 생활을 했고, 일본 유학이라는 삶의 궤적 측면에서 유사성을 지니고 있다. 또한 이 시인들은 ‘방’을 공간 배경으로 사용해서 시를 썼다는 공통점이 있다. 본고의 목적은 백석과 윤동주의 ‘방’과 관련한 시를 인지시학 방법론으로 고찰하는 것이다. 이를 통해 두 시인의 시에서 공통적으로 쓰인 ‘방’의 텍스처가 어떻게 구축되어 있으며, 두 시인의 ‘방’과 관련한 시가 갖는 유사성 또는 변별성을 탐색할 것이다. 2장에서는 두 시인의 시에서 나타나는 ‘생각’의 지각적 직시에 대해 고찰할 것이다. 백석과 윤동주의 시는 현실 공간인 ‘방’에서의 행위보다는 정신 공간인 ‘생각’에 초점을 맞추고 있어서, 이들의 시는 화자와 독자 모두를 ‘생각’의 영역에 위치시킨다. 이 장에서는 두 시인의 시에서 나타나는 ‘생각’의 구체화 방식과 그 내용의 변별성을 살펴볼 것이다. 3장에서는 윤동주의 「쉽게 씌어진 詩」와 백석의 「흰 바람벽이 있어」에 나타나는 목소리의 주체를 탐색함으로써 두 시인의 시가 지니는 유사성과 변별성을 살펴볼 것이다. 이 장에서는 직시 이동 이론을 적용할 것이다. 4장에서는 백석과 윤동주의 ‘방’과 관련한 시의 문체적 특징인 현재형의 서술어 사용에 주목할 것이다. 그 결과 과거와 현재가 ‘방’ 공간에 공존하는 양상은 화자로 하여금 ‘결여’의 정서를 환기시킨다는 것을 규명할 것이다.
Abstract
Baek Seok and Yoon Dong-Ju have close relationship with each other. In other words, they were born in North Korea and lived in Seoul. They also have similarity of studying in Japan from the viewpoint of trajectory. In addition, the both poets use 'rooms' as a background to write poems. This study aims to examine room-related poems written by Baek Seok and Yoon Dong-ju with cognitive poetics methodology. It also reviews how 'room' texture commonly used for the two poets' poems is constructed and explore similarities and differences of those poems related to 'rooms'. Chapter 2 examines perceptual deixis of 'thoughts' found in their poems. Because their poems focus more on 'thoughts', a mental space than on behaviors in a 'room', a reality space, their poems lead both narrators and readers to be located in 'thoughts'. This chapter find outs embodiment of 'thoughts' shown in their poems and differences of those poems. Chapter 3 deals with similarities and differences of the two poets' poems by exploring subjects of voice found in 「A Poem I've Written Easily」 written by Yoon Dong-Ju and 「There is a white wall」 written by Baek Seok. Deictic Shift Theory (DST) is applied to this chapter. Chapter 4 focuses on the use of present tense predicate which is one of the characteristics of poems related to Baek Seok's and Yoon Dong-Ju's 'rooms'. As a result, it figures out that coexistence of past and present in a 'room' makes a narrative to nudge emotion of 'lack'.
