몽골의 지체구조환경 및 광상분포 특성을 규명하기 위한 연구의 일환으로 몽골의 알탄 오보(황금 언덕) 금산출지를 방문하여 지질 및 광화작용에 대해서 조사하였다. 본 광상은 금광상의 성인적 분류중 금-은 천열수 맥상광상의 저황화작용계에 해당하는 것으로 사료된다. 전세계적으로 저황화작용계 금-은 천열수 맥상광상은 거대한 금매장량을 보유한 광상으로 알려져 있다. 금번 조사결과, 알탄 오보 광상의 금이상치, 상당히 진행된 지표면 변질작용 및 수반된 변질 광물조합, 비철금속 함량, 인근의 함동 반암 및 금광상등의 광화사건, 지체구조 환경은 이러한 모델과 잘 맞는다. 현재 에르데네 자스 회사에 의해 광구의 정밀 자료 취합, 탐광, 지질조사가 진행 중이다.
Abstract
We investigated the geology and mineralization of Altan Ovoo (Golden Hill) in order to examine closely the distribution characteristics of ore deposit and tectonic setting of Mongolia. It is thought that this deposit belongs to the category of low sulfidation epithermal gold-silver deposit in terms of ore genesis. It is known that low sulfidation epithermal gold-silver deposits have enormous gold reserves worldwide. From the result of this survey, the anomalous gold anomaly, considerably progressed surface alteration with altered mineral assemblages, base metal content, mineralization event such as nearby copper-bearing porphyry and gold deposit match well the above-mentioned model. Now, the detailed data compilation on the prospect, prospecting, and geological survey is being carried out by Erdene Jas Company.
