Abstract

This study is to observe the process of movements educational changes in the kindergarten. Also, through the analysis of educational change and cause, it is to make a system of movements education in the kindergarten. Therefore this study will give dance educators effective contents and ways of movements education. There are many changes of movements educational terms in this study. Instead of play, movement, dance, we use movements education, physical education, rhythmic movement, physical expression, and so on. The contents of movements education were about play before the first curriculum. The first curriculum was about basic exercise and dance. At the second curriculum, There was about movements in the fields of education physical development, health and social, emotional development. The third and forth curriculums, they dealt with movements education at the physical development and health fields. For the fifth and sixth curriculums, there was about movements educations at the healthy life and expressive life fields. Between the fifth and sixth curriculums, there was only one change of terms. The expressive life of the fifth became the probe at the sixth curriculum. The movements education in the kindergarten in Korea, since the inflow of Laban`s movements education in 1980th, the preschool education has dealt with ‘movements education’, at the curriculum for the development of creativity. Therefore, the task of teachers at the movements education is to develop synthetic movement educational program and to study its applicative way. Also, the effort of teachers needs to apply dance as educational method for children's all-round education.
