본 연구는 대규모 언어 모델(Gemini)을 활용하여 LS산전 PLC의 IL 언어 프로그램을 Siemens PLC의 STL 코드로 자동 변환하는 웹 기반 시스템을 구현하고, 실제 장비에서 그 정확성과 실행 가능성을 검증하였다. 시스템은 HTML/JavaScript 기반 프론트엔드와 FastAPI 백엔드로 구성되며, 프롬프트 설계와 I/O 매핑, 출력 정제 기능을 포함한다. 실험은 5개의 공압 실린더 제어 방식에 대해 수행되었고, 변환된 STL 코드는 Siemens S7-1500 PLC에 적용되어 대부분 수정 없이 정상 동작하였다. 본 연구는 LLM을 활용한 이종 PLC 코드 자동 변환의 실용성을 입증 하고, 향후 다중 브랜드 지원 및 특수 기능 확장 가능성을 제시한다.
Abstract
This study proposes a web-based system that automatically converts LSIS PLC programs written in IL into Siemens STL using a large language model (Gemini API). The system consists of a JavaScript frontend and a FastAPI backend, with components for prompt design, I/O mapping, and output postprocessing. Five pneumatic control scenarios were tested using real Siemens S7-1500 hardware, and the converted STL programs executed correctly in all cases, requiring only minor edits. The results demonstrate the feasibility of LLM-based PLC code translation and suggest potential for future extensions to multiple brands and advanced functions.
