본 연구의 목적은 아동 라이프스타일의 요인구조를 파악하고 아동의 라이프스타일 유형에 따른 색채선호와의 관계를 밝혀, 색채선호도에 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 하였다. 초등학교 5~6학년 아동을 대상으로 남학생 167명, 여학생 160명의 자료를 분석하였다. 아동의 라이프스타일 구성요인은 학업성취지향형, 외모지향형, 취미활동추구형, 관계지향형, 우월성향형, 안정추구형의 6개 차원으로 구성되었다. 아동의 성별과 라이프스타일이 색채선호도에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 남학생은 비비드톤 파랑, 여학생은 라이트톤 빨강, 라이트톤 노랑, 비비드톤 보라, 라이트톤 보라, 흰색의 선호도에 정적인 영향을 보였다. 아동의 라이프스타일 중 취미활동추구형은 비비드톤 빨강, 다크톤 빨강, 라이트톤 노랑, 다크톤 노랑, 비비드톤 녹색, 라이트톤 녹색, 다크톤 녹색, 비비드톤 파랑, 라이트톤 파랑의 선호도에 유의한 정적영향을 보였다. 학업성취지향형은 비비드톤 노랑과 다크톤 녹색에, 우월성향형은 비비드톤 파랑에, 외모지향형은 검정에 유의한 정적영향을 미치는 변인으로 나타났다. 안정추구형은 회색에 부적인 영향을 미치는 변인으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 색채선호도에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 아동의 일반적인 특성뿐만 아니라 사회, 생활환경 및 생활행동 등을 포함한 요인을 포괄했다는 점에서 의의가 있으며, 아동을 다각적으로 이해하는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of factors on the color preference by examining the factor structure of the lifestyle of children and the relationship with color preference depending on the type of lifestyle. Data for this research were collected from questionnaires targeting 167 boys and 160 girls students on 5th~6thgrade elementary school students. Lifestyle of children was categorized as six groups, academic achievement-oriented type, appearance-oriented type, hobby activity pursued type, relationship-oriented type, superiority tendency type, and stability pursued type. The analysis results for color preference affected by gender and the children lifestyle showed that boys showed positive response to vivid tone blue and preferable colors for girls were light tone red, light tone yellow, vivid tone blue, vivid tone purple, light tone purple and white. Hobby activity pursued type showed a significant positive effect on the preference of the vivid tone red, dark tone red, light tone yellow, dark tone yellow, vivid tone green, light tone green, dark tone green, vivid tone blue, and light tone blue. Achievement-oriented type showed a significant positive effect on the preference of the vivid tone yellow and dark tone green, superiority tendencies type showed a significant positive effect on the preference of the vivid tone blue, and appearance-oriented type showed a significant positive effect on the preference of the black, and stability pursued type showed a significant negative effect on the preference of the gray, respectively. This study is meaningful in the aspect that the factors influencing color preference such as society situation, living environment, living behavior as well as general characteristics of children were included and it could be used as a basis for understanding children in various points of view.
