An Analysis of the Establishment of Threat Analysis and Response System for New Terrorism Faced by South Korea

This article is to analyze the new terrorism environment and threats faced by South Korea and to suggest the importance of preventive terrorism awareness and countermeasures. Also it suggests legal and institutional responses to provocatively strengthen awareness of the new terrorism environment, which is becoming more advanced and sophisticated, and to compensate for vulnerabilities. In particular, it should focus on education and training for relevant organizations in charge of counterterrorism to preemptively block terrorist threats based on the application of new technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including AI-based terrorism prevention and response systems.
Abstract
