초록
The efficient treatment of grinding sludge, which contains fine particles and solid materials, is a significant environmental challenge in industrial production processes. Particularly in abrasive processes used for metal, glass, and ceramic materials, the resulting sludge poses difficulties in effective treatment and disposal. Traditional methods, such as sedimentation, filtration, and chemical treatments, face limitations in terms of cost, efficiency, and complexity. This study explores the application of a hydrocyclone-based filtration system to address these challenges. Hydrocyclones, which utilize centrifugal forces to separate solids from liquids, offer improved efficiency for separating fine particles in grinding sludge compared to conventional methods. The primary goal of this research is to develop a compact, automated sludge removal system that can significantly enhance the treatment efficiency of abrasive grinding sludge while reducing environmental impact. Through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations, the performance of hydrocyclone separators in handling grinding sludge was analyzed, focusing on the effects of particle size, fluid velocity, and density differences on separation efficiency. The results indicate that hydrocyclones offer a highly effective solution for the separation of fine particles from grinding sludge, with optimal flow conditions leading to improved performance. This study proposes a promising approach for automating and enhancing the sludge treatment process in industrial environments, contributing to both operational cost reduction and environmental sustainability.
