Abstract
Using a cross-section data, this paper empirically examines the effectiveness of soci- oeconomic factors to female labor force participation rate (FLP) focusing on divorce rate (DVR), index of technological progress (ITP), social and scurity expenditure (SSE) and overall index grobalization (OIG). Also, there is a non-liner analysis considering income level, structure of industry and fertility rate. The regression results suggest that there exist a significant and positive relation among FLP, DVR, ITP, SSE and OIG. In the result of non-liner analysis, these socioeconomic factors have positive relations to the FLP in the countries of higher GDP per capita. and DVR and OIG have positive relations to FLP in the countries of higher rate of service industry. Moreover, these socioeconomic factors have positive effect to FLP in the low fertility rate countries. Therefore, this study can figure out that the FLP is positively related to socioeconomic factors to FLP and shows the existence of non-liner pattern relation.
