Abstract
This study examines the enigmatic expression "Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh" in Exodus 3:14 and seeks to understand its meaning within the broader context of the Book of Exodus. Traditionally, scholars have confined their interpretations to the immediate context of 3:13-15. However, this research expands the scope to include the narrative of Moses' calling (Ex 3:1-4:17) and the entirety of Exodus as the secondary context. The study argues that the expression signifies more than a name; it is a declaration of divine self-revelation. Interpreting "Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh" as "I will be whoever I will be," the paper explores how God reveals Himself throughout Exodus, adopting a theological lens.
