본 연구의 목적은 노인의 우울, 늙어감에 대한 행복감, 자아존중감, 생활만족도, 사회참여, 일상생활 활동장애 정도를 파악하고 노인의 우울에 미치는 요인들을 분석하는데 있다. 연구 자료는 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, Stepwise multiple regression analysis를 이용하여 분석하였다. 노인의 우울에가장 영향이 높은 변수는 자아존중감 27.9%(β=-.318, p<.001), 생활만족도 5.5%(β=-.248, p<.001), 늙어감에 대한행복감 4.1%((β=-.200, p<.001), 일상생활 활동장애 1.6%(β=.128, p=.026) 순으로 이들 네 개의 변수가 노인의 우울을 총 39.1% 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 노인의 우울을 감소시키고 자아존중감과 늙어감에 대한 행복감을향상시키기 위한 차별화된 교육프로그램을 개발하는 것이 필요하다.
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to analyze the depression, happiness on aging, self-esteem, life satisfaction and disability of daily living activity level of the elderly people, and to analyze the variables to impact on their depression. The study data were analyzed descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. The most influential variables on the elderly depression were self-esteem with 27.9% of explanatory power (β=-.318, p<.001), followed by life satisfaction with 5.5%(β=-.248, p<.001), happiness on aging 4.1%((β=-.200, p<.001), disability of daily living activity 1.6%(β=.128, p=.026), and 4 variables explaining 39.1% of the elderly depression. Therefore it is necessary to develop specific education programs to reduce depression and to improve self-esteem and happiness on aging of the elderly.
