The purpose of this study is to analyze medical image errors of mass media, to derive appropriate methods for reducing human error and to provide basic data of mass media. Medical image errors were analyzed from 2007 to 2016 in mass media’s internet media, news, public service advertisements, drama, TV programs. Mass media has found a wide range of error images in various fields such as media, entertainment programs, dramas, movies, public service advertisements. There were 10 cases of X-ray in medical images, 5 cases of classification of X-ray and CT, and 3 cases of CT and MRI confusion. Mass media, which need to inform accurate information, have confirmed many errors to the public about medical images. We have confirmed that the mass media that are required to inform accurate information are making a lot of human errors in medical images to the public. In order to reduce the errors of medical images, it is necessary to remind the users of the necessity of correcting the medical images and to provide active feedback with the continuous efforts and attention of experts in related organizations, mass media, medical imaging and radiology. Accurate and reliable medical images should be delivered to the public.
